Angie Goto giving her husband a squeeze
I first met Angie Goto at The Other Art Fair Sydney 2018. Actually our first conversation was in the toilet at The Other Art Fair, she liked my t-shirt which I had drawn on and at the time was drying her hands in a very noisy toilet, while talking about my t-shirt.
I could hardly hear her, but she heard me just fine as Angie is deaf and can lip read. A few months of following Angie on instagram and reading a few interviews, I learnt what I first experienced in the toilet with Angie, she hears just fine, in every way.
Her new body of work "A Peak At The Human Condition" makes up her first solo show in Sydney at Anala Art Advisory. Her paintings are stunning, bold and terribly ticklish (if like me, you find the human condition necessarily funny). Show opens 24th of November from 1-3pm - Anala Art Advisory, 6 Ross St, Glenbrook NSW 2773, Australia
